Job summary

Trust & Will, a remote-first digital estate planning leader, seeks a senior Controller to drive accounting operations, internal controls, and scalable financial processes. You will lead the team through month-end close, audits, and system optimizations while partnering with FP&A and the CFO on cost analysis and strategic planning.

You’ll bring 10+ years of accounting leadership, CPA preferred, and hands-on experience with AI-enabled accounting tools to streamline workflows in a fast-growing

Qualifications

• 10+ years in accounting, with 4–5 years in a Controller or leadership role in high-growth environments.
• CPA certification preferred and a track record in financial reporting, compliance, and controls.
• Hands-on experience applying AI or automation to accounting workflows and designing internal controls for AI-assisted processes.
• Experience with Ramp, Rillet, and advanced spreadsheets; familiarity with startups and IPO readiness.

Responsibilities

• Own accounting operations for Trust & Will and subsidiaries; manage month-end close, tax compliance, and AP/AR.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and enable scaling.
• Lead audits and reconciliations; ensure accuracy to the last detail.
• Manage accounting technology stack; collaborate with FP&A to keep systems integrated and efficient.
• Partner with CFO on cost analysis and financial planning; identify optimization opportunities.
• Oversee vendor relationships and ensure policy compliance.
