Job summary

Trust & Will, a remote‑first estate planning platform, seeks a seasoned Controller to lead accounting operations, close cycles, and compliance across the company and its subsidiaries. You will implement robust controls, drive audits, optimize the tech stack, and partner with FP&A on cost analysis.

With 10+ years in accounting and 4–5 years in leadership, you will bring CPA credentials and experience at a big 4 firm or startup.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in accounting with 4–5 years in a controller role in high growth.
• Experience in financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls.
• Hands-on AI/automation in accounting workflows preferred.
• Familiarity with startup and IPO readiness requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own accounting and close cycles for the company and subsidiaries.
• Develop internal controls and ensure asset safeguarding as we scale.
• Lead audits, reconciliations, and ensure data accuracy.
• Manage accounting tech stack and collaborate with FP&A on systems.
• Partner with CFO on cost analyses and strategic planning.
• Oversee vendor relationships and policy compliance.
