Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Customer Success Engineer (LatAm) to support our AI research lab clients. This remote, contract role requires strong debugging, web app experience, and familiarity with AI systems, LLMs, and agent frameworks. You will work with React, Node, Flask, and Next.js to assist customers and improve product outcomes.

The position offers substantial overlap with Pacific Time and requires excellent communication, empathy, and problem-solving in a fast-growing startup context.

Qualifications

• Ability to debug web applications and understand frontend/backend issues.
• Degree in CS/Software Eng or equivalent startup experience.
• Experience building modern web apps with React, Node, Flask, Next.js.

Responsibilities

• Investigate talent-reported issues end-to-end.
• Reproduce bugs, identify root causes, and model edge cases and system defects.
• Debug across the AI + SaaS stack using telemetry, logs, and DB queries.
• Triage with sound judgment and escalate true engineering issues.
• Resolve issues via configuration, prompt refinement, or clear user guidance.
• Surface patterns and product risks to engineering and leadership.
• Create clear documentation and runbooks to reduce repeats and speed resolution.
• Communicate with precision, professionalism, and empathy.
