Job summary

Huntington National Bank seeks an AI Risk and AI Risk Governance Manager to provide independent oversight and governance for enterprise AI activities. This role focuses on generative and agentic AI, ensuring alignment with risk appetite, policy, and regulatory expectations while partnering with multiple risk and business teams.

The position requires strong risk management experience, excellent stakeholder communication, and ability to translate complex AI topics into actionable governance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 7+ years applying risk management concepts to AI or tech-enabled processes.
• Experience providing independent oversight and governance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent Second Line of Defense oversight of enterprise AI governance activities.
• Assess alignment of first-line AI governance with risk appetite and policy.
• Support governance for AI agents, autonomy, tools, and kill-switch protocols.
• Challenge model risk, data, prompts, permissions, and integrations for risk impact.
• Develop governance insights for senior management and risk committees.
• Support audit, regulatory exam, and issue response activities related to AI governance.
