Job summary

Huntington Bancshares, Inc. seeks an AI Risk and AI Risk Governance Manager to provide independent governance oversight across enterprise AI initiatives. You will challenge AI risk practices, collaborate with risk, compliance, and technology teams, and help ensure responsible AI use in bank-wide applications.

The role emphasizes governance, risk assessment, monitoring, and incident response considerations, reporting to senior risk leadership. Office-based role with flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years of AI, model and technology experience applying risk management concepts to AI or technology-enabled processes, including risk identification, control evaluation, monitoring, issue management, and governance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent Second Line of Defense oversight and credible challenge of enterprise AI governance activities, including AI risk identification, risk assessment, control expectations, monitoring, reporting, issue management, and escalation.
• Assess alignment of first-line AI governance with enterprise risk appetite, AI policy, risk management standards, and regulatory expectations.
• Support governance for AI agents and agentic AI systems, including autonomy, tool and API access, auditability, and kill-switch protocols.
• Maintain oversight for material changes to AI systems and challenge reassessment, retesting, approval, restriction, or deactivation as needed.
• Evaluate risks from generative and agentic AI use cases, including outputs, privacy, bias, security, and concentration risk.
• Oversee AI use case intake, classification, approval, monitoring, inventory, and material change processes across the AI lifecycle.
• Review risk assessments and monitoring outputs for documentation sufficiency and residual risk conclusions.
