Job summary

The Huntington National Bank is seeking an AI Risk and Governance Manager to join Risk Management as a Second Line of Defense contributor. You will oversee enterprise AI governance activities, focusing on generative and agentic AI, ensuring alignment with risk appetite, policy, and regulatory expectations.

In collaboration with technology, compliance, privacy, and business risk teams, you will challenge first-line practices, monitor controls, and help establish robust risk governance for AI use

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years of AI, model and technology experience applying risk management concepts to AI or technology-enabled processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent Second Line of Defense oversight and credible challenge of enterprise AI governance activities, including AI risk identification, risk assessment, control expectations, monitoring, reporting, issue management, and escalation.
• Assess whether first-line AI governance, control, testing, validation, and monitoring practices are aligned with risk appetite and regulatory expectations.
• Support risk governance program expectations for AI agents and agentic AI systems, including autonomy, tool access, and auditability.
• Establish oversight for material changes to AI systems, including models, data sources, prompts, tools, and autonomy, and challenge reassessment needs.
• Evaluate risks associated with generative and agentic AI use cases, including outputs, privacy, bias, security vulnerabilities, and drift.
• Provide oversight of AI use case intake, classification, approval, monitoring, inventory, and material change processes.
• Review AI risk assessment and monitoring outputs for documentation and evidence.
