Fractal Analytics seeks a Technical Market Researcher to map AI/ML research trends, track academics and industry advances, and convert signals into strategic intelligence for research leadership.

You will own programs end-to-end, with autonomy across health, education, sustainability, climate, weather, and quantum computing domains. Strong technical curiosity and rapid learning are essential.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years in competitive intelligence, market research, strategic tech evaluation, or related AI/ML field.
• Deep technical fluency in AI/ML to engage credibly with literature and trends.
• Proven track record analyzing research trends against labs, conferences, open-source communities, and venture-backed entities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; turning complex science into concise memos and decks.
• Hands-on experience with non-traditional data collection (web scraping, bibliometrics, OSINT).
• Agile, ownership-driven mindset with accountability for intelligence programs.
• Proven ability to work with minimal supervision and represent a team in meetings.

Responsibilities

• Define, manage, and execute intelligence initiatives monitoring AI/ML domain and research labs.
• Distill large information into executive briefings, landscape maps, and ecosystem deep-dives.
• Author high-impact memos and presentations for leadership and stakeholders.
• Apply OSINT, bibliometrics, and scraping to surface emerging trends.
• Benchmark advances across conferences, labs, open-source, and ventures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and represent the team in meetings.
