Job summary

Cengage Group is seeking a Program Manager, AI Operations to direct the management of AI initiatives, ensuring smooth delivery and governance across operations. You will coordinate enterprise AI programs, vendor risk assessments, and cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Privacy, Security, Procurement, Product, Engineering and Operations.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher education in business, information systems, or tech.
• Experience coordinating enterprise programs and cross-functional initiatives.
• Knowledge of FERPA, GDPR, CCPA or similar privacy regulations.

Responsibilities

• Direct management of enterprise AI initiatives, ensuring smooth delivery and governance.
• Coordinate vendor risk assessments for AI tools, platforms, and integrations.
• Lead third-party AI intake with security, privacy, and contract review.
• Maintain criteria matrix for AI vendor approvals and connector decisions.
• Partner with Procurement on AI contracts, DPAs, and terms.
• Maintain approved AI vendor list and reassessment cadence.
• Establish governance artifacts: intake workflows, logs, and status reports.
• Coordinate with AI Enablement, Legal, Privacy, Security, Procurement, Product, Engineering, and Operations.
• Track milestones, risks, and readiness across AI initiatives.
• Support onboarding, documentation, and process standardization.
