Job summary

First American is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead AI-enabled software initiatives across Engineering, Operations, Underwriting, Data Science, and Design. You will define strategy, translate ambiguous problems into actionable requirements, and drive product development from concept through launch.

This fully remote role supports teams across time zones from Pacific to Eastern, with quarterly travel to Southern California.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software or technology product management experience.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into clear requirements.
• Experience writing PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams.
• Experience partnering with engineering through discovery, development, launch, and post-launch improvement.
• Strong data fluency and use of qualitative and quantitative evidence to prioritize work and measure results.
• Experience with AI product development, including iterative quality improvements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own product strategy, roadmap, and execution for a top priority AI initiative.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Underwriting, Data Science, and Design to clarify complex problems into actionable requirements.
• Develop PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting docs for engineering teams.
• Make timely product decisions, resolve edge cases, and guide teams through ambiguity.
• Partner with AI engineers and data scientists to define truth data and evaluation frameworks.
• Use data to identify opportunities, estimate impact, and measure outcomes after launch.
• Balance customer value, business impact, and technical feasibility in tradeoffs.
• Communicate strategy, progress, decisions, and outcomes to executives and stakeholders.
• Coordinate dependencies across teams to deliver cohesive outcomes.
