Job summary

HappyRobot is looking for a data-focused role to help make data a core part of product decisions. You will work with Product, Engineering, and ML teams to measure how model and feature changes affect real-world performance, and you’ll turn complex data into actionable insights.

You’ll design experiments, analyze millions of conversations, and build dashboards to support product and ML roadmaps. Strong SQL/Python and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in data science, analytics, or quantitative product roles.
• Experience with experimental design, A/B testing, and causal inference.
• Proficient in SQL and Python for data analysis.
• Ability to define and operationalize product metrics.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Define and track product, feature, and agent metrics.
• Design, run, and interpret A/B tests for model changes and features.
• Measure impact on client outcomes like task completion and efficiency.
• Connect offline evaluations with production performance.
• Conduct analyses across conversations and product usage to identify opportunities.
• Investigate anomalies and perform root-cause analyses.
• Build statistical models and analytical frameworks.
• Partner with Engineering to improve instrumentation and data quality.
• Create dashboards and self-serve tools for product insights.
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
