Job summary

Cactus Companies is seeking a motivated Intern for Business Process Automation in Houston, TX. You will support initiatives to improve operational efficiency through automation, AI, and process improvement within a manufacturing environment.

You will primarily focus on automating the Accounts Payable invoice verification process by comparing supplier invoices to purchase orders and received quantities, with opportunities to assist other workflow AI projects and documentation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
• Interest in automation, AI, manufacturing, or business process improvement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Document current Accounts Payable workflow with different teams.
• Analyze invoice, PO, and receiving processes to identify automation opportunities.
• Assist in developing or evaluating tools that compare invoices vs POs and receipts.
• Collaborate with finance to understand project scope, workflow, and requirements.
• Research and prototype AI solutions to improve documentation and reporting.
• Support data collection, validation, testing, and user acceptance activities.
• Document workflows, process maps, and project results; present findings to leadership.
