Cloudflare is seeking a highly motivated Controllership Operations Accounting Intern to join our Accounts Payable team. You will engage in advanced process optimization and AI automation, helping modernize the Procure-to-Pay lifecycle and bridge operational accounting with technology.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in AP workflows, data integrity testing, and cross-functional collaboration with IT and finance, preparing you to contribute at scale in a fast-paced tech company.

Qualifications

• Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS, Data Analytics, or related field.
• Technical aptitude: Ability to understand tech, data analytics or AI-related projects; coding not required.
• Systems experience: Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) or expense platforms (Navan).
• Analytical mindset: Natural problem-solver who seeks improvements via technology.
• Detail-oriented: Maintain high accuracy with financial data while designing processes.

Responsibilities

• Process Improvement & P2P Optimization: map workflows, identify bottlenecks and improve accuracy.
• AI & Automation Projects: support AI initiatives, translate business needs into tech requirements.
• Core AP & Employee Expense Operations: assist with invoice processing, T&E auditing, month-end close.
