Job summary

Checkly is seeking a Support Engineer to champion customer success in a remote-first role. You will diagnose issues, debug flaky tests, and analyze API check failures, collaborating with engineering to reproduce and fix problems.

You will shape AI-enabled support processes, improve agent handoffs, and contribute to product improvements by turning tickets into bug fixes and features, while keeping documentation aligned with customer needs.

Qualifications

Empathy for customer needs and clear communication.
Experience in a technical role such as developer or technical support.
Ability to read and debug JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js code.
Comfort with HTTP, REST APIs, browser dev tools, git and CI/CD.
Familiarity with AI tooling (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) and building workflows.
Clear, friendly English communication.
Ability to work remotely and asynchronously in a US East Coast timezone.

Responsibilities

Resolve customer issues and debug tests, investigate API check failures with PCAPs and traces.
Build an outstanding AI support process and improve agent handoffs and response quality.
Turn tickets into product by reproducing bugs and proposing fixes.
Own the docs to ensure accurate, up-to-date information for customers and agents.
Work with modern tooling on the support platform (Plain, Linear, Mintlify).
