Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Business Partner to own the commercial side of its HDO and R&D services portfolio, leading contract redlines, templates, and renewals while shaping pricing and terms with Legal, Finance, and Security.

You will run negotiations, design pricing structures, manage vendor performance, and deliver sustained value for R&D leaders. Office presence in San Francisco is expected as part of a hybrid policy.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of strategic sourcing, vendor management, or commercial negotiation experience in services.
• Hands-on contract experience: redlined MSAs/SOWs, templates, and term negotiation.
• Track record of leading multi-million dollar services negotiations to strong outcomes.
• Strong analytical skills: rate and unit-cost analysis and pricing model design.
• Clear, direct communication with executives; comfortable with difficult conversations.
• Fluency with AI tools in daily work and ability to adapt workflows accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Own the vendor management cadence: QBRs, scorecards, SLA and quality reporting.
• Lead pricing and commercial negotiations across the portfolio and align with stakeholders.
• Build playbooks and Claude-powered tools for redlining, benchmarking, and reporting.
• Design pricing structures and models to fit how R&D consumes services.
• Track and report savings, cost avoidance, and improved terms for the portfolio.
