Job summary

Proscia is hiring a Product Designer to own discrete product areas end-to-end, working directly with our Director of Design. This is a product-first role: most time will be spent on product craft, from problem framing through shipped, validated experience with a visual design sensibility that extends to icons and data visualization.

You will lead research with pathologists and scientists, create empathy maps and journey maps, and contribute to the design system while ensuring compliance with IEC

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Product or UI/UX design.
• Experience designing AI/ML-driven product experiences with model outputs and human-in-the-loop.
• Proficiency in design software such as Figma.
• Portfolio with end-to-end product craft and strong visual sensibility beyond standard UI work.
• Experience with design systems and component libraries.
• Strong cross-disciplinary communication skills.
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Own product areas end-to-end, including AI-powered insights and outputs.
• Design for human-AI collaboration and surfacing uncertainty.
• Lead user research via observation, interviews, and usability testing.
• Develop empathy maps, personas, and journey maps.
• Create UI mockups, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs.
• Contribute to the Proscia design system with icons and illustrations.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and scientists to translate insights into design solutions.
• Adhere to medical device regulatory standards (IEC 62366, FDA usability guidance).
• Support marketing with visuals when needed.
