Job summary

Chase is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to own end-to-end backend delivery, embedding AI-native capabilities into core products. You will design, develop, and troubleshoot scalable systems, promote AI-assisted engineering practices, and mentor junior engineers across architecture reviews and code reviews.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in software engineering with Java, Spring Boot, and AWS, plus experience with Kafka, microservices, and containerization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience designing distributed systems using Java.
• Strong knowledge of Core Java (Java 21+), Spring Boot, React, REST, Kafka, microservices.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of backend components with AI-native capabilities.
• Design, develop, test, and troubleshoot software beyond routine solutions.
• Create secure, high-quality production code and robust algorithms.
• Promote enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices and establish validation standards.
• Participate in design reviews and architecture discussions.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and guidance.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving and independent work on ambiguous problems.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to peers and stakeholders.
