Job summary

Wintermeyer Ventures is building a US insurer product from the ground up for an AI-powered parts procurement platform. You will own the end-to-end experience, collaborating with a product engineer and insurer customers to translate complex needs into practical solutions.

You will spend time on-site with insurer customers in Austin, translate requirements into specifications, and lead the product journey from pilot to expansion while leveraging AI-assisted development tools.

Qualifications

• 6+ years combined experience in engineering and product, incl 2+ years as a software engineer.
• 3+ years owning an enterprise B2B software product end-to-end, translating customer requirements into technical specs.
• Technical foundation with APIs, SQL and JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (Claude, Codex, Cursor).
• Founder experience outside a consultancy or agency is valuable; enterprise sales experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Spend time on-site with insurer customers to understand workflows.
• Partner with a product engineer to translate needs into technical specs and buildable solutions.
• Develop the US product on top of an AI model and data layer for local market needs.
• Own the product journey from pilot through expansion, doing product, research and UX work as needed.
• Use AI-assisted tools to prototype ideas and test hypotheses with users.
