Job summary

Wintermeyer Ventures is building a US insurer product from the ground up for an AI-powered parts procurement platform. You will own the end-to-end experience, collaborating with a product engineer and insurer customers to translate complex needs into practical solutions.

You will spend time on-site with insurer customers in Austin, translate requirements into specifications, and lead the product journey from pilot to expansion while leveraging AI-assisted development tools.

Qualifications

• 6+ years combined experience in engineering and product, incl 2+ years as a software engineer.
• 3+ years owning an enterprise B2B software product end-to-end, translating customer requirements into technical specs.
• Technical foundation with APIs, SQL and JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (Claude, Codex, Cursor).
• Founder experience outside a consultancy or agency is valuable; enterprise sales experience is a plus.

About the Role

Build a US insurer product from the ground up for an AI-powered parts procurement platform. You will own the end-to-end product experience, working closely with a product engineer and insurer customers to turn complex enterprise needs into practical solutions.

What You'll Do

• Spend time on-site with insurer customers, including appraisers, claims handlers, and decision-makers, to understand their workflows.
• Partner with a product engineer to translate customer needs into technical specifications and buildable solutions.
• Develop the US product on top of an existing AI model and data layer, adapting the experience for the local market.
• Own the product journey from pilot through expansion, taking on product, research, and UX work as needed.
• Use AI-assisted tools to prototype ideas and test hypotheses with users.

What We're Looking For

• At least 6 years of combined experience in engineering and product, including 2 or more years as a software engineer.
• At least 3 years owning an enterprise B2B software product end to end, with experience translating customer requirements into technical specifications and evaluating engineering constraints.
• A technical foundation, such as strong computer science fundamentals, and comfort working with APIs, SQL, and JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Codex, Cursor, or similar in product work.
• Experience building products on a small team or from scratch, and founder experience outside a consultancy or agency.
• Enterprise sales experience with large organizations is valuable.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $200,000 to $260,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
