Accordion is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with client finance teams and build AI-powered agents for EPM/CPM workflows. You will create informatively driven agents that accelerate FP&A tasks and integrate with a range of financial systems.

The role blends applied AI with finance domain knowledge, requiring travel up to 50–80% and a hybrid US-based footprint. A strong Python background and experience with LLM orchestration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/Data Science or related field.
• 3+ years software engineering experience with LLM-powered apps.
• Strong Python proficiency and experience with LLM orchestration frameworks.
• Experience integrating with APIs, data warehouses, ERPs, and financial systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 50–80%.
• Excellent communication with CFOs/FP&A leaders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI agents for client-specific financial workflows.
• Integrate AI agents with EPM/CPM platforms (Oracle EPM Cloud, OneStream, Anaplan, Planful, Workday Adaptive Planning).
• Develop automated data reconciliation and validation workflows.
• Define agent architectures, data source integrations, guardrails, and success metrics with stakeholders.
