Job summary

Basis is seeking a Finance Generalist to understand our business, support leadership in decision-making, and build operating systems to help us scale rapidly. This role will touch finance, revenue operations, go-to-market, and our product and engineering teams.

This role reports to the Head of Finance. This is a broad, high-ownership position where you will develop key financial models, report performance, evaluate pricing or investments, and stand up automations to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of experience in analytical finance roles, with in-house or startup exposure.
• Strong financial modeling and ability to translate data into strategic insights.
• Builder mentality: create systems, automate repetitive tasks, improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Own key financial models and report performance and metrics.
• Evaluate pricing decisions and potential new investments.
• Stand up automations to improve finance team efficiency.
• Partner with leadership across finance, revenue, GTM, product and engineering.
