Job summary

Basis is building production-grade, AI-enabled finance at scale in NYC. You’ll own end-to-end analysis of revenue, headcount, unit economics, and cash, informing strategic decisions across finance, revenue operations, GTM, product, and engineering.

You’ll lead modeling, drive pricing and investment choices, and push for AI-powered automation to move routine work from manual to reviewed, enabling fast, confident leadership decisions.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of experience in rigorously analytical roles (IB/PE/VC, consulting, or high-growth software/AI).
• Exceptional financial modeling and analytical skills with clear judgment.
• Builder’s mindset: build systems, automate, and improve how teams operate.
• Ability to apply AI to finance tasks and to push for scalable solutions.
• Strong business judgment: identify what matters and drive decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, to turn analysis into leadership-ready recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Own the models the company runs: revenue, headcount, unit economics, cash.
• Take analysis to action: evaluate pricing or investments and drive implementation.
• Investigate anomalies deeply and explain root causes from data, contracts, or processes.
• Rebuild finance around AI: run experiments where AI can handle routine work.
• Be the finance partner for the whole company: brief leadership and align GTM and capacity models.
