Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Specialist, Content Developer to shape K-12 assessments for state and district clients from our English Language Arts Content Development team. You will combine content expertise and AI-enabled tooling to develop standards-based items and materials across grade levels.

You will collaborate with educators, psychometricians, and Pearson groups to ensure accessibility and quality. The role emphasizes innovation with AI and flexible workflow across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
• 5 years teaching experience in elementary or secondary education.
• Knowledge of standards-based assessment design.
• Experience with AI-assisted content development.
• Familiarity with prompting and evaluating AI-generated content

Responsibilities

• Develop and review test items across grade levels and formats.
• Create item specs, blueprints, and ancillary documents.
• Use AI-powered tools to enhance assessment content.
• Collaborate with writers, educators, and Pearson teams.
• Coordinate with customers in planning and meetings.
• Support test construction and form reviews.
• Mentor item writers and educators.
• Stay current with AI tech in content creation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
