Job summary

Karbon is seeking an AppSec Engineer to join its security team, focused on development and cloud security with AI-enabled tooling. You will partner with product and engineering teams to embed security from design through deployment, promoting secure coding practices and threat modelling.

The role emphasizes AI-powered security, collaboration, and proactive risk management as Karbon scales its global engineering efforts.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills (spoken and written).
• Experience with securing AI applications and tooling is a plus.
• At least one cloud platform: Azure, AWS or GCP (prefer Azure).
• Knowledge of security tooling and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Partner with teams to embed security from design to review and threat modelling.
• Balance security with delivery and communicate risks to non-technical stakeholders.
• Apply AI-assisted tooling to accelerate security work such as triage, detection, and code review.
• Own security initiatives and contribute to the security roadmap.
