Job summary

Karbon is seeking an AppSec Engineer to join our security team as we expand our AI-enabled engineering practices. The role focuses on embedding security across product design, development, and deployment, with an emphasis on cloud platforms and AI tooling.

You will work with development teams to promote secure coding, perform threat modelling, and improve security controls across our systems while embracing AI to enhance detection and automation.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience securing web applications and APIs, and with AI tooling in security contexts.
• Familiarity with SAST/DAST/IAST and security testing tooling.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to embed security from design through deployment.
• Balance security needs with delivery timelines and clearly communicate risks to stakeholders.
• Apply AI-assisted tooling to accelerate security triage, reviews, and documentation.
• Contribute to security metrics and roadmaps.
