Job summary

Axon Enterprise in Boston seeks a Senior Revenue Accountant to ensure accurate revenue recognition and join a fast-paced finance team. The role involves close collaboration with Finance, Operations, Sales and IT to support monthly closes, analyze revenue trends, and strengthen internal controls across ASC 606 principles.

You will prepare journal entries, assist audits, and drive reporting improvements in a hybrid work model with on-site Tue-Fri and remote Mondays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
• CPA designation or progress toward CPA preferred.
• 2–5+ years of accounting experience, with revenue accounting preferred.
• Experience in SaaS/tech/services is a plus.
• Strong understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Proven cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Product, Legal, and Professional Services.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of end-to-end order-to-cash and impact on revenue reporting.
• Perform monthly/quarterly analytical reviews of revenue and related accounts.
• Prepare and record journal entries for revenue, deferred revenue.
• Partner with Sales, Ops, FP&A and IT for proper accounting treatment.
• Support reporting, analytics, and month/quarter-end close activities.
• Ensure SOX controls and proper documentation.
• Assist audits with documentation and explanations.
• Contribute to process improvements, automation, and system enhancements.
