Job summary

JPMorganChase in Jersey City seeks a Lead Software Engineer to guide the design and delivery of secure, scalable software across AI-enabled platforms. You will collaborate with product, business, and engineering stakeholders to drive architectural decisions and establish best practices for high-performing distributed systems.

The role requires Java/Spring Boot expertise, experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and modern API patterns (REST/GraphQL).

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
Experience designing scalable, secure, distributed systems in production.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Drive architectural decisions to improve scalability, resiliency, and availability.
Build and operate secure, production-grade services with code quality reviews.
Mentor engineers and raise team capability and delivery outcomes.
Implement CI/CD automation and reliability patterns for frequent releases.
Develop data-intensive services using Java/Scala with large datasets.
Design AI-enabled applications with retrieval-augmented generation and guardrails.
Promote enterprise-approved AI-assisted engineering practices and secure coding standards.
