Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Jersey City to drive AI foundation services at enterprise scale. You will deliver secure, cloud-native platform capabilities and collaborate with application teams to provide reusable integrations and onboarding assets.

You will lead hands-on delivery, guide architectural choices, and ensure secure, scalable production code while advancing enterprise AI initiatives across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Strong hands-on coding in Python, Java, or Go, with production-grade services.
• Experience building shared services or platform capabilities used by multiple teams.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and cloud-native delivery (Terraform, containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
• Demonstrated use of AI-assisted software development tools with focus on correctness, performance, and security.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and resiliency expectations.

Responsibilities

• Partners with business teams to implement AI foundation services enabling GenAI/AI use cases.
• Builds and enhances reusable platform services, APIs, SDKs, and libraries for model hosting and AI/ML services.
• Translates requirements into technical designs, milestones, and delivery plans with senior support.
• Develops secure, stable production code and participates in reviews, testing, and remediation.
• Creates reusable assets and onboarding guides to accelerate adoption across teams.
• Drives adoption of enterprise AI practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
