Job summary

JPMorgan Chase in Jersey City is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to design and deliver enterprise software solutions. You will work with stakeholders on requirements and architecture, code, test, and review, and support deployments and production monitoring.

Candidates should have extensive Java/J2EE experience, Spring, REST APIs, and familiarity with Oracle/Cassandra. Experience with modern CI/CD, testing tools, and AI tech is a plus.

Qualifications

Formal software engineering training and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on system design, application development, testing and stability.
Web apps using J2EE, Spring; REST API development.
Experience with Oracle and Cassandra databases.
Proficiency with BlazeMeter, Splunk, Dynatrace; API testing tools.
Manual testing with Postman/SoapUI; API specs with Swagger.
Agile Scrum methods; familiarity with AI tech (LLMs, copilots).

Responsibilities

Design and develop enterprise software applications.
Collaborate with stakeholders on requirements, architecture, and design.
Write code, perform pair programming and code reviews.
Create unit tests and automate software checks.
Support integration, UAT, performance testing; production releases and monitoring.
