Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s with relevant fields plus years of AI/ML experience.
At least 10 years programming with Python, Go, Scala, CUDA, or Java.

Responsibilities

Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products with impact.
Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components (foundation model training, LLM inference, agents, vector databases).
Leverage Open Source and SaaS AI tech (AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, VectorDBs, PyTorch).
Invent optimization techniques to improve scalability, cost, latency, and throughput of AI systems.
Contribute to technical vision and long-term roadmap of AI systems at Capital One.
Define and steer AI architecture integrating research breakthroughs into production with reliability and scale.
Lead establishment of AI safety and transparency standards across the company.
Drive platform initiatives unifying data, compute and model lifecycle management.
Mentor senior technical leaders across research, data and engineering.
