Job summary

Notion is seeking an experienced engineering leader to join the AI Platform team in San Francisco or New York City. You will prototype, develop, and scale core AI primitives while partnering with product teams to ship features quickly with guardrails and reliability.

You will operate critical AI systems in production, monitor behavior, optimize latency and cost, and guide safe adoption of new models and tools with clear reliability gates.

Qualifications

• Experience building AI platforms and core AI primitives at scale.
• Experience collaborating with product teams to ship features quickly while maintaining reliability.
• Familiarity with observability, latency, cost tradeoffs, and production readiness.

Responsibilities

• Own and scale systems and core AI platform primitives for Notion's AI stack.
• Partner with product teams to provide production-ready guardrails and reduced duplication.
• Work across infrastructure, libraries, APIs, and product integration points to maximize adoption and leverage of AI capabilities.
• Operate critical AI systems in production, using observability and diagnostics to improve performance and cost.
• Support safe adoption of new models/providers with versioning and controlled rollouts.
