Job summary

Notion is seeking a software engineer to build core AI platform primitives and scale AI infrastructure for reliable, safe operation at scale. You\'ll partner with product teams to ship AI features faster with guardrails and production-ready components.

You\'ll work across infrastructure, shared libraries, APIs, and model integrations to make AI capabilities easy to adopt and high-leverage across Notion. This role requires ownership, pragmatic problem solving, and the ability to balance quality,

Qualifications

Passion for AI systems at scale, experience on LLM/ML platform teams that own critical shared systems.
Willingness to dig into system behavior as models and requirements evolve.
Ability to align stakeholders around a path forward and execute with accountability.
Ability to decompose complex system behavior and deliver pragmatic solutions.
Understand tradeoffs among quality, latency, cost, and reliability in a product context.

Responsibilities

Prototype, develop, and scale AI platform primitives.
Collaborate with product teams to provide paved paths and guardrails for faster AI feature delivery.
Work across infra, shared libraries, APIs, and product integration points for easy adoption.
Operate production AI systems with observability and diagnostics to reduce latency and cost.
Support safe adoption of new models/providers through versioning and release gates.
