RTX is seeking an AI Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate reusable software and runtime capabilities enabling enterprise AI across RTX. You will work with AI Architects, cybersecurity, data teams, and application groups to accelerate AI adoption.

The role emphasizes production-grade backend services, cloud-native deployment, and secure, observable platform components across hybrid environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related STEM with 5+ years of experience (or 8+ years with a bachelor’s).
5+ years hands-on software engineering experience building backend services, APIs, or distributed systems.
Proficiency in Python, Java, or C#, with production-grade software.
Experience designing APIs, microservices, and backend platform capabilities.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and operate scalable backend services, APIs, and platform capabilities for enterprise AI applications.
Build AI platform capabilities including model access, routing, gateways, and runtimes.
Develop security for identity, authentication, authorization, secrets management, and tool access.
