Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 9-12+ years of relevant experience.
• Designing and operating cloud, infrastructure, SRE, or platform capabilities.
• Building a shared platform adopted by multiple product teams.
• Deep experience in at least one major cloud and portable hybrid/multi-cloud patterns.
• Hands-on engineering in orchestration, networking, IaC, delivery automation, APIs, and observability.
• AI operations: release controls, evaluation, capacity, service objectives, incident learning.
• Build-versus-buy decisions with operational/technical consequences.
• Cross-functional leadership and mentoring.
• Travel up to 50% and hybrid office availability.

Responsibilities

• Set the platform direction: AI platform vision, architecture, roadmap, and standards across cloud, hybrid, and edge.
• Run the platform as a product: define service tiers, prioritize roadmap, measure adoption and value.
• Enable portable model access: design gateways and stable contracts for model choice and routing.
• Architect elastic foundations: compute, storage, and network for AI workloads balancing performance and cost.
• Automate the path to production: repeatable delivery patterns with progressive release and evidence.
• Define trusted agent runtimes: secure execution, identities, isolation, and replay.
• Engineer for reliability: set SLOs, observability standards, recovery patterns.
• Make economics visible: connect usage signals to unit economics.
• Guide strategic choices: build-vs-buy and portability with partners.
• Build capability: mentor platform engineers and strengthen architecture.
