Job summary

Supermicro is seeking an experienced AI Network Software Solution Architect to lead the design and development of next‑generation network infrastructure solutions optimized for AI workloads. This role requires deep expertise in GPU fabric design, high‑speed switching, network automation, and observability on a large scale.

Qualifications

• 15–20 years in network engineering or architecture roles, including large‑scale data center or AI infrastructure experiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Strong business acumen balancing performance, cost, and scalability in architecture decisions.
• Customer‑focused mindset with experience designing solutions for customers.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with stakeholders and executives.
• Hands‑on experience with open networking switching platforms and SONiC.
• Proven track record designing data center fabrics using BGP, OSPF, EVPN‑VXLAN, and overlay networks.
• Expertise with InfiniBand, RoCEv2, and RDMA‑based networking in GPU environments.
• Proficiency in network automation using Ansible, Terraform, Python, and Git‑based workflows.
• Ability to define business‑aligned network strategy roadmaps for scalable AI infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop cutting‑edge network solutions with external providers.
• Design AI‑optimised network architecture to support GPU workloads.
• Fabric design using 100G/400G/800G infrastructure across platforms.
• Integrate control plane protocols for internal and external traffic.
• Define networking strategy aligned with growth and AI scalability.
• Develop infrastructure‑as‑code workflows to automate provisioning and monitoring.
• Implement telemetry pipelines and traffic analytics for visibility and SLA adherence.
• Create HLD/LLD design documentation, playbooks, and standards.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to influence roadmap decisions.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to deliver integrated AI/ML network solutions.
