Job summary

Thanx is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to own core accounting operations and scale the finance function as the company grows. You will lead month-end close, revenue recognition, reconciliations, and billing while partnering with the VP of Finance to strengthen the financial foundation.

Qualifications

3–5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience in a high-growth environment.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred but not required.
Strong understanding of US GAAP, accruals and revenue recognition.
Experience independently managing month-end close and financial reporting.
Experience building or maintaining a financial model and forecast.
SaaS accounting or subscription billing experience is preferred.
Advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency; data analysis skills.
Experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude) to improve productivity.
Ability to automate repetitive finance processes and build scalable workflows.

Responsibilities

Own the monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and general ledger accuracy.
Manage revenue recognition in compliance with GAAP and review related reconciliations.
Oversee billing operations and ensure contract terms align with invoices and AR processes.
Lead reporting packages, variance analysis, and interaction with external auditors and tax advisors.
Maintain and update the financial model and forecasting; assist budgeting and unit economics.
