Job summary

Notion is seeking a strong Model Capabilities contributor to join our team in New York City or San Francisco. You will own production readiness for frontier models, implement reliable inference, and help product teams adopt new capabilities across Notion AI.

You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional AI groups, optimize latency and cost, and shape how Notion scales AI features for millions of users in a fast‑moving, human‑focused environment. This role offers hybrid work with anchor office days.

Qualifications

• Experience building and operating AI systems on top of LLM APIs.
• Ability to measure and evaluate model performance with data.
• Experience with token economics, streaming, tool calling.
• Strong collaboration across product and engineering teams.
• Familiar with latency and cost tradeoffs in production.

Responsibilities

• Bring frontier models into production quickly.
• Make inference reliable with better error handling and failover.
• Own observability for the model layer and speed of fixes.
• Build model-level capabilities and help product teams adopt them.
• Act as connective tissue across Notion's AI teams to unblock work.
