Job summary

Notion is seeking a Model Capabilities engineer to own the model layer, integrating frontier models and keeping inference reliable at scale. This role can be based in San Francisco or New York City, with in-person Anchor Days on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

You will drive production deployment of new models, improve observability, and partner with product teams to adopt model-level capabilities across the company.

Qualifications

• Keep up with frontier model landscapes and decide what to adopt.
• Use AI tools seriously in your own work and form practical opinions.
• Experience building/operating production systems on top of LLM APIs with token economics, streaming, and tool calls.
