Job summary

Notion is seeking a role on the Model Capabilities team to own the model layer of Notion AI. You will integrate frontier models, ensure scalable inference, and develop new model-level capabilities used by multiple teams. This position values pragmatic judgment and data-driven evaluation of AI improvements.

You will work from Notion offices on Anchor Days (Mon/Tue/Thu) and may base in San Francisco or New York City, collaborating across AI teams to deliver reliable, cost-efficient AI features.

Qualifications

• Experience building and operating systems on top of LLM APIs.
• Ability to define metrics and evaluate improvements with data.
• Comfort with a moving frontier in AI model capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Bring frontier models into production quickly for users and engineers.
• Improve inference reliability with error handling and failover.
• Own observability of the model layer to speed detection and fixes.
• Build model-level capabilities and help product teams adopt them.
• Coordinate across AI teams to close gaps and land fixes with owners.
