Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) invites students to join the AI group within the Intelligent Systems Center (ISC) as an intern. You will help train and evaluate frontier AI models on one or two projects and may have the opportunity to publish your work with world-class experts.

We seek candidates pursuing a degree in CS/Engineering/Math, proficient in Python with PyTorch, and with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or another related field pertaining to AI.
• GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Able to obtain a Secret level clearance; U.S. citizenship required for eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Help train and evaluate frontier AI models and applications on one or two projects.
• Opportunity to publish research if results are impactful.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary researchers within ISC.
