Job summary

Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) invites undergraduates and graduates to join the AI Group for a Summer Internship. You will help train and evaluate frontier AI models on one or two projects, with a potential opportunity to publish your work.

You will be part of the Intelligent Systems Center, collaborating with world-class researchers and gaining exposure to interdisciplinary AI, robotics, and defense-focused research in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or another related field pertaining to AI.
• Proficient in Python programming with experience using PyTorch.
• Have a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Must be able to obtain a Secret level clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Help train and evaluate frontier AI models on one or two projects and publish work if results are impactful.
