Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) is seeking motivated interns to tackle complex research, engineering, and analytical challenges critical to national safety and science. You will join a collaborative team to design scalable software systems leveraging data science, AI/ML, and visualization across domains including cybersecurity, healthcare, and signal processing.

Interns will gain hands-on experience with Python/Java/Kotlin/R/JavaScript, and frontend tools, while

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related technical field
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 scale
• Have experience with Python, Java, Kotlin, R, Javascript, MATLAB, or C/C++
• Have interest/experience in AI/ML solutions
• Are able to obtain a Secret level clearance (U.S. citizenship required)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team to develop cutting-edge solutions that address national priorities
• Contribute to projects applying AI/ML, data science, software DevOps, and signal/image processing
