Job summary

Pearson is hiring a Data Scientist for the VALUE team in Boston. You will transform data into actionable insights to drive product strategy, operational excellence, and customer outcomes, using Python, ML, and AI techniques.

You’ll partner with Product Managers, Engineers, Analysts, and Data Engineers to identify opportunities where data and AI improve decisions and automate workflows. You will contribute to Generative AI, LLMs, and RAG initiatives, building robust models, dashboards, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, machine learning, or related analytical roles.
• Demonstrated experience using Python for data analysis, modeling, and automation.
• Experience with statistical analysis, exploratory data analysis, and predictive modeling.
• Experience working within Agile product or engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to AI-enabled products and operational initiatives across the VALUE portfolio.
• Develop and evaluate machine learning and AI-enabled solutions with measurable business impact.
• Analyze large datasets; develop dashboards, visualizations, and reports for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to translate questions into analytical solutions.
• Communicate findings clearly and mentor peers in analytics and AI practices.
