Finatal seeks a Data Scientist to join its Data Science & AI team, collaborating directly with portfolio companies to identify, build, and deploy AI/ML solutions that drive measurable business value.

The role is hands-on and highly technical, offering exposure to senior portfolio stakeholders while delivering end-to-end AI projects in a fast‑moving environment across software, healthcare, industrials, and B2B services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as CS, Statistics or Data Science.
• 3+ years of hands-on data science, ML and applied AI experience.
• Familiarity with MLOps, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and Git for reproducible work.

Responsabilités

• Identify and build high-impact AI/ML solutions across portfolio companies.
• Own projects from scoping and data prep through modeling, deployment and measurement.
• Work hands-on in Python with messy datasets.
• Build, test and stress-test models, understanding limitations and failure modes.
• Determine GenAI, ML, analytics, or automation approaches for business needs.
• Translate business challenges into technical solutions for senior stakeholders.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and third-party vendors.
• Communicate technical decisions and impact clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
