Wabash Valley Power Alliance in Indianapolis seeks an AI/ML specialist to design, implement, and support AI/ML systems across business units. You’ll automate workflows, reduce risk, and educate staff on AI/ML tools while advancing education initiatives with member cooperatives.

The role requires a strong background in AI/ML, data analysis, and programming, with emphasis on cross-team collaboration and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in quantitative science, engineering or STEM.
• 3–5 years AI/ML or data analysis experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers.
• Strong learning mindset and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Design, implement, and monitor AI/ML systems.
• Develop algorithms and data models, including NLP/ML models.
• Train AI systems to reduce hallucinations and improve accuracy.
• Analyze large data sets; communicate insights to leadership.
• Prototype new tech to improve workflows and reduce risk.
• Stay current with AI tech: generative AI, NLP, DL.
• Develop and maintain code for AI/biz automation.
• Build AI models for predictive maintenance and load forecasting.
• Prepare reports on systems and workflows.
• Foster relationships with universities' AI/ML programs.
• Educate end-users on AI/ML tools usage.
• Support regulatory compliance with NERC CIP standards.
