Job summary

Florida Power & Light Company seeks a software professional to design, develop, test, and maintain AI-enabled applications that analyze and plan future grid expansions, including rooftop solar and battery storage. You will collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

The role supports Distribution, Transmission and Substation engineering teams, with emphasis on Java, Python, JavaScript, .NET, SQL Server, and modern

Qualifications

• BS/MS in CS/Engineering/IT or related field required.
• Experience with AI technologies, Microsoft .NET, SQL Server, stored procedures.
• Strong analytical, communication, teamwork, leadership and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, designs, develops, tests, debugs, implements, maintains, integrates, and enhances systems.
• Applies Agile or development lifecycles, tools, and technology appropriately.
• Automates code handoffs from development to operations (DevOps).
• Leads projects and ensures customer satisfaction with timely resolutions.
• Designs, develops, tests experimental work to try new ideas within bounds.
• Ensures compliance with security, CSR, and regulatory policies.
