Pearson seeks a Lead Specialist, AI Data & Knowledge Architect to design and build the knowledge foundation for next-gen K–12 assessment and learning systems. You will work at the intersection of content, learning science, AI, and psychometrics, shaping a scalable, machine-readable knowledge layer.

This founding role requires autonomy, rapid prototyping, and rigorous testing of novel knowledge architectures to support both formative and summative assessment across domains.

Formación

• Advanced degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Experience designing knowledge graphs in production or substantial applied settings.
• Hands-on knowledge modeling and semantic schema design using ontologies, taxonomies, vocabularies.
• Strong command of graph and semantic technologies (RDF, OWL, SHACL, SPARQL).
• Strong data architecture skills: data modeling, pipelines, identity, provenance, lineage.
• Strong Python programming and API development experience.
• Deep understanding of predictive and generative AI including retrieval-grounded methods.
• Proven track record building novel systems with high autonomy.
• Ability to translate cross-disciplinary expertise into computable representations.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build the knowledge graph and knowledge model for assessment domains.
• Represent standards, competencies, skills, claims, and content as computable structures.
• Ensure extensibility across domains and future AI capabilities.
• Establish identity, versioning, provenance, and lifecycle of knowledge objects.
• Differentiate authoritative knowledge from derived information and hypotheses.
• Evaluate graph and semantic technologies for extensibility and interoperability.
• Build pipelines linking item banks, metadata, and psychometric data to knowledge layer.
• Develop schemas, APIs, and data contracts for access by apps and AI workflows.
• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate knowledge layer into the authoring system.
