Job summary

Transcard, a Chattanooga-based FinTech, offers an Artificial Intelligence internship within the IT department. You will work on AI-powered features and collaborate with engineering, sales, and marketing to translate business needs into AI-driven solutions.

The internship runs Monday–Friday during standard business hours, is paid, and provides exposure to a variety of AI development tasks with mentorship from senior leaders and potential post-graduate opportunities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed Bachelor's in a relevant field.
• Familiarity with Python and ML concepts.
• Exposure to NLP/LLM concepts via coursework or projects.
• Basic understanding of version control and collaboration workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in responsible AI practices and data privacy.

Responsibilities

• Learn foundational AI/ML concepts through hands-on project work.
• Assist in developing and improving AI-powered features.
• Help troubleshoot issues in AI applications with guidance from seniors.
• Support testing and quality checks on AI systems.
• Review and support security/access configurations for AI systems.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and design discussions.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, and marketing to align AI features with business needs.
