Job summary

Baseten is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineering TPM to own complex, high-visibility programs for our largest customers. You will coordinate across Sales, Solutions, Product, and Engineering to deliver scalable AI platform solutions and maintain strong execution discipline.

You will drive operating rhythms, manage risks, and create crisp leadership updates. The role demands deep technical fluency with ML infra and distributed systems, plus outstanding communication and ownership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a TPM (or engineer turned TPM) on infrastructure, cloud or customer-facing technical programs.
• Experience with ML infrastructure, Kubernetes, GPUs and distributed systems; able to follow an incident channel or design doc.
• Experience running programs across many teams without formal authority.
• Calm under escalation; brings structure and closes loops.

Responsibilities

• Run the priority account cadence and operating rhythm for top accounts; aim for zero surprise escalations to execs.
• Coordinate connections between SA, Sales, Product, engineering, capacity, and on-call; ensure clear owners, cadence and SLA.
• Drive cross-team programs for large customers; orchestrate capacity rollouts, migrations and launches.
• Reduce toil and protect platform time; identify and remove the biggest blockers.
• Own the metrics scorecard (account health, response times, toil, load per engineer).
• Help scale the team with new-hire enablement, certification, and hiring operations.
