Baseten is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer Manager to lead top customer programs in a technical, fast-paced environment. You will own operating rhythms, bridge gaps between engineering, sales, and product, and drive multi-team initiatives for high-impact customers.

You will shape how a new kind of engineering team operates in the AI industry, coordinating complex deployments while reducing toil and maintaining platform focus.

Qualificações

• 5+ years as a TPM (or engineer turned TPM) on infrastructure, cloud or customer-facing technical programs.
• Technical depth: ML Infra systems, Kubernetes, GPUs and distributed systems; experience with LLM inference is a strong plus.
• Experience running programs across many teams without formal authority.
• Calm in escalations; brings structure to chaos and closes the loop.
• Clear and concise writing for engineers and executives.
• High ownership; prefers fixing processes over workarounds.

Responsabilidades

• Run the priority account cadence for top accounts with leadership.
• Coordinate connections across SA, Sales, Product, engineering, capacity and on-call with clear owners and SLAs.
• Drive cross-team programs for largest customers (capacity rollouts, migrations, launches).
• Reduce toil and protect platform time by removing obstacles and optimizing engineering time.
• Own the metrics: report account health, response times, toil, load per engineer, team health to leadership.
• Help scale the team: enablement, certification, hiring operations.
• Manage risk and dependencies; surface issues early and drive mitigation.
• Communicate up, down, and across with crisp status updates.
