Job summary

Tenstorrent is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to own the technical outcomes of AI hardware systems deployed with customers. You will work with customer engineering and operations teams to integrate, validate, and productionize systems, spanning hardware and software, deployment, automation, and ongoing operations.

This hybrid role is based in Tokyo, Japan. You will travel within Japan as needed and collaborate with Kubernetes, Linux, Python, and C++ experts to deliver reliable deployments

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with server hardware in data-center or enterprise environments.
• Experience debugging across hardware, kernel, drivers, and software.
• Strong Linux system administration knowledge and troubleshooting.
• Background in Site Reliability Engineer, Systems Engineer, Platform Engineer, or Infrastructure Engineer roles.
• Willingness to travel within Japan as needed.
• Bilingual Japanese (native or business) and English.

Responsibilities

• Own technical outcomes of deployed AI hardware systems with customers.
• Integrate, validate, and productionize systems spanning hardware and software.
• Develop reliable operating procedures and automate deployment and support.
• Collaborate with customer engineering and operations teams to meet outcomes.
• Troubleshoot across the inference stack, from requests to hardware behavior.
